INGREDIENTS:
2 cups all purpose flour1/2 tsp salt
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS:
Cream butter until smooth and add sugar and beat until creamy and smooth. Beat in the vanilla extract. Gently stir in the flour mixture until just incorporated. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for 2-3 hours or until firm.Roll the dough into small, 3/4 inch balls and place on parchment lined baking pan and place in the freezer for 30 minutes. This is necessary to prevent the cookies from spreading during baking.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. When balls are firm, bake for 10-12 minutes until the cookies are firm but not brown. Place on wire rack to cool.
